Digital Repository TIS

Honouring the past and strengthening the future of the Tackling Indigenous Smoking movement

The Digital Repository Tackling Indigenous Smoking (DR TIS) is a living archive celebrating the journey, achievements, and impact of the Tackling Indigenous Smoking program. Launched in February 2026, DR TIS tells the story of the program from its humble beginnings in 2010 to the international renowned program it is today.

For more than a decade, the TIS program has supported Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia to reduce tobacco and nicotine-related harms through culturally informed, community-led health promotion. The repository preserves the legacy of this work, capturing stories, resources, and milestones that reflect the leadership, knowledge, and innovation of the TIS workforce that defines the program.

Standing as a living archive for the TIS movement, DR TIS honours the past, shares program innovation, and inspires continued action to eliminate tobacco and nicotine-related harms for current and future generations.

Together we Rise Up.
